This is three night/four day retreat led as Gaeilge and Béarla.

Facilitated by 15 deer and two Diarmuids, Lyng and McGivney, this is an opportunity to cultivate different aspects of your native nature with yoga, meditation followed by butchering and tanning a deerhide.

Súdaireacht: Learn how to butcher and skin a deer, followed by the traditional deer hide tanning with expert butcher and bushcrafter Diarmuid McGivney. Beidh ómós is buíochas tugtha go dtí an fia uasal dár ndóigh. We will honour this noble creature throughout the weekend as we recover our ancestral skills of hunter gatherers. 

Each man will tan and take away his own Irish deer hide. And though there may be impromtu iomarscáil on the tráigh, you won't be tanning anyone's hide for them.

 

Iománaíocht: For a break from the blood and skin, we will there will be a game of hurling from the other Máistir an Cluiche; an tAthair Diarmuid O Laighin.

We will also start the days with Íoga agus Machnamh. Yoga and Meditation.

​

An Gaeilge: We will be bilingual. We are a bilingual people. With a binural beat. Trilingual even seeking the language of our uncolonized souls. Triskelled into understanding our forgotten language. Irish speakers from basic to fluent will be facilitated. This is an opportunity for fluent speakers to use their language and for non-speakers to begin the journey of reclamation.

An Saol Tradisiúinta: Experience living simply and close to the land as our ancestors did. Lighting the fire, sharpening our knives.

Bia Folláin: The focus is also on health and healing and and all food will be wholesome and locally sourced where possible.
